1. What is media in teaching? How many teaching medya types do you know. Explain

  1.  Media Audio. Help convey information more impressively. Helps increase attractiveness to an offering. Audio types include background sound, music, or voice recordings and more. 
  2. Visual Media, Media that can provide visual stimuli such as pictures / photos, sketches, diagrams, charts, graphics, cartoons, posters, bulletin boards and others. 
  3. Motion Projection Media. This includes motion films, wristwatch films, TV programs, video tapes (CD, VCD or DVD). 
  4. Mimics / miniatures, Such as three dimensional objects that can be touched and touched by students. This media is made to overcome the limitations of both objects and situations so that the learning process continues to run well. 
  5.  Multimedia, Vaughan (2004) explains that multimedia is any combination consisting of text, graphic art, sound, animation and video that is received by users via a computer.

2. Why teacher needs media in teaching?

  • With the availability of learning media, teacher educators can create various classroom situations, determine teaching methods to be used in different situations and create a healthy emotional climate among students. In fact, these learning tools / media can then help teachers bring the outside world into the classroom. If these learning tools / media can be functioned properly and proportionally, the learning process will be effective.


3. What are the criteria of good teaching media

  • 1. In accordance with the objectives to be achieved 

In learning media is expected to be able to bring the learning process to its goal. 

2. Able to Support Learning Content and Materials 

Learning media must be in accordance with the criteria, so support for the content of the material and learning materials must be fulfilled. 

3. Easy to obtain media

It is very important to remember how easy it is to obtain media, of course if there is damage and replacement then it will be easier to obtain replacement media. 

4. Ease of Access

Learning media cannot be used if the users cannot master how to access the media.

5. Use does not take a long time 

learning media must be efficient. Because the learning media is long or maybe it can actually slow down the learning process because it requires a long time in preparation. this will actually be a disadvantage in the learning process itself 

6. Suitability of Learning 

Media with Students' Thinking Learning media must be compatible with the way students think in communication because without this, students will not be able to accept what is given by the learning media. 

7. In accordance with the situation and environmental conditions 

the learning media used must be in accordance with the situation and conditions. You cannot use media that requires electric power in learning places where electricity is not available. Or vice versa, you cannot use sophisticated media in rural schools which incidentally lack knowledge of technology. 

8. In accordance with the abilities of the instructors 

The right learning media is of course obliged to be adjusted to the abilities of the teachers in the communication process within the organization. Because no matter how cool a learning media is, if its users are not able to use it optimally, learning will not run smoothly. 

9. Effectiveness of Using Media in Learning 

Effective use of media in the learning process will maximize and optimize learning outcomes. Thus, it can be said that the media is able to meet the criteria as an appropriate learning media.


4. Do you think that the teaching media needs to be developed? Why

  • is very necessary, because with the development of instructional media, students are more motivated so that their attention to the material will increase. So that students can make up-to-date media development interactions. can provide a comprehensive experience from the concrete to the abstract. make it easier to consume the information conveyed.

1. In understanding foreign cultures, someone needs to understand well the cultures to avoid cultural conflicts. But, many people are failed to understand the values and customs of foreign cultures. According to your own idea, please explain what do you need to have to understand foreign cultures in order to avoid cultural conflicts.

  • There are several things you must do to understand foreign cultures in order for cultural conflict to occur 

  1. Be Thorough and Critical filter out whether it can have a positive or negative impact on life and yourself 
  2. Expanding Science We can know about some of the incoming innovations in greater clarity and detail 
  3. Be Moderate trying to take the positive side by using a way to always think positively about foreign cultures while preventing the negative impacts that exist in the foreign culture 
  4. Accept the difference Every culture is different, there are many differences, there are some things that we can accept but there are also some differences that we cannot accept.


2. How do you define your local cultural is different from foreign culture? Do youthink local and foreign cultures need to be integrated? Please provide your reasons 

  • Indonesia has dozens of ethnic groups, each of which has different customs and traditions. Each tribe has a different regional language with dozens of dialects or dialects that grow and develop in a particular locale or area with human supporters who live and reside in that locale or area. Meanwhile, foreign culture is a collection of habitats, values and behaviors that have been thoroughly accepted and understood globally, and are not tied to one group or individual. 

Local culture and foreign culture need to be integrated, because foreign culture and local culture have very clear differences, through these differences create harmony in people's lives 


3. What is stereotype and prejuice? Does it exist in your local culture? Give example?

  • Prejudice is a preconceived idea that is not based on actual facts or truths. A stereotype is a widely held but simplified and simplified image or idea about a particular type of person, target, or group of people. 

Examples Javanese are attached to the label of smart cooking. The Javanese are also known as a refined tribe, so they often have less firm stereotypes. This is based on its history, the Javanese are a tribe of political and aristocratic rulers so that they have a polite and refined character.
